Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected when someone visits Blount County Court Docket, the reasons it may be used, and the circumstances in which another service may receive it. By continuing to use the website, you agree to the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A query entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside company that provides that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Blount County Court Docket does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

When you email us, the message may be retained so we can respond. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers may receive standard technical information as pages are requested, including:

  • Your device's IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • A referring website, when one exists
  • The date and time of each request

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small device files that can help measure how the website is used, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers may combine visit information into reports. You may block cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how some website functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Maintain website operation and page performance
  • Route a submitted query to the appropriate search partner
  • Understand which material visitors use
  • Diagnose errors and other technical problems
  • Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Blount County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of personal case information or court dockets. It provides general directions to Tennessee and Blount County record sources. Circuit, General Sessions, Juvenile, Orders of Protection, and Traffic records are maintained through Chris Cantrell's Circuit Court Clerk office; Chancery and related probate records are maintained by Steve S. Ogle's Clerk & Master office. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search tools shown on the website. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Blount County Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk & Master, Tennessee courts, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy rules apply. Consider those rules before providing personal information.

Advertising companies may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not operate that cross-site tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be received by:

  • Providers that process searches you submit
  • Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks serving website advertisements
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal requirement

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, commonly used security measures are applied to information under our control. No internet service can guarantee complete security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will remove it.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary based on where you live. Tennessee consumer-protection law may apply to certain data practices, while access to government and court records is separately governed by the Tennessee Public Records Act, including T.C.A. section 10-7-503, and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34. Those public-record laws do not turn this private website into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing

Updates to This Policy

This privacy policy may be revised. A revised version will be posted here, and its effective date will be changed so visitors can tell when the policy was last updated.

Effective date: September 6, 2026
